Olivier Creed was born in Nice, France, during the Italian occupation of World War II. As the heir to the only dynastic, privately held luxury fragrance firm in the world, his path seemed destined. However, his education extended beyond perfumery. Olivier studied art and painting at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where his experiences with the French painter Georges Braque taught him to appreciate the interconnectedness of art and fragrance.
At just 18 years old, encouraged by his father and grandmother, Olivier took the reins of the family business. Under his leadership, he shifted the brand’s focus heavily toward the fragrance side, transforming the House of Creed from a boutique tailoring and scent house into a globally recognised brand. Today, Olivier continues this rich tradition alongside his son, Erwin Creed, creating fragrances in their factory in Fontainebleau, France.
