The first Chloé Nomade was released in 2018. This release was a shift from the brand’s signature powdery rose toward a bolder, earthier chypre floral. Inspired by a desire for freedom and adventure, the Nomade collection was designed as a grounded contrast to previous Chloé scents.
Perfumer Quentin Bisch developed the original Nomade, drawing inspiration from spontaneity and open spaces. He also worked on the first two flankers to come out after the original’s debut. Since then, the collection has continued to evolve through various flankers. Let’s take a look at the original fragrance and the iterations that followed.
1. Chloé Nomade EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Chypre Floral |
| Notes | Top: Mirabelle, Bergamot, Lemon, and Orange Middle: Freesia, Peach, Jasmine, and Rose Base: Oakmoss, Patchouli, Amberwood, White Musk, and Sandalwood |
| Release year | 2018 |
| Perfumer | Quentin Bisch |
The shift Nomade brought to the Chloé brand in 2018 is highly indicative of the era’s changing sensibilities. For over a decade, Chloé was defined by purity, a world of soapy roses and femininity. Nomade traded the manicured garden for a rugged, windswept landscape. What truly makes this scent stand out is its rejection of traditional, sugary-sweet trends in favour of something more earthy. A dry, woody fragrance that feels slightly masculine and rebellious.
2. Chloé Nomade EDT

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Chypre Floral |
| Notes | Top: Litchi, Mirabelle, and Citruses Middle: Freesia, Rose, and Davana Base: Oakmoss |
| Release year | 2019 |
| Perfumer | Quentin Bisch |
Nomade Eau de Toilette was introduced in 2019 as a more luminous interpretation of the adventurous woman. While it retains the core DNA of the collection, this version shifts the focus towards a bright freshness with a lychee note at the opening. The fragrance remains true to the original by keeping the oakmoss base; however, the signature ruggedness is significantly dialled back in this concentration. In my opinion, this softening causes the fragrance to lose the Nomade edge that made the original so distinctive.
3. Chloé Nomade Absolu EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Chypre Fruity |
| Notes | Top: Mirabelle Middle: Oakmoss and Davana Base: Sandalwood and Musk |
| Release year | 2020 |
| Perfumer | Quentin Bisch |
Nomade Absolu was released to celebrate the collection’s second anniversary. This is the most intense and woody iteration in the lineup. This version aims to juice the original’s DNA to its limits. The result is a much darker composition that leans even further into the unisex category. But I must say that I find myself underwhelmed by this flanker. While it is undoubtedly bold, the scent feels somewhat unfinished. To me, it is missing a key element, perhaps a touch of vanilla or a creamy balsamic note.
4. Chloe Nomade Naturelle EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Amber Floral |
| Notes | Top: Dates and Mirabelle Middle: Egyptian Jasmine, and Freesia Base: Vanilla, Sandalwood, and Oakmoss |
| Release year | 2022 |
| Perfumer | Caroline Dumur |
With the launch of Nomade Naturelle, the collection took a warm turn toward the gourmand. This version is a 100% natural-origin fragrance that replaces the sharp bite of the original with a lighter sweetness. This is a personal favourite of mine. I find it absolutely perfect for casual wear, particularly on those early spring days when the air still holds a bit of a chill. The warmth of the dates and vanilla feels incredibly comforting. Wearing it simply makes the world feel like a happier place.
5. Chloe Nomade Jasmine Naturel Intense EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Floral Fruity |
| Notes | Top: Mirabelle and Pear Middle: Egyptian Jasmine, Dates, and Freesia Base: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, and Patchouli |
| Release year | 2023 |
| Perfumer | Caroline Dumur |
While the first Naturelle focused heavily on the creamy date and sandalwood, the Jasmin Naturel Intense introduces a juicy pear note at the top and a more multifaceted floral heart. The jasmine here feels slightly more nocturnal, especially when paired with the addition of patchouli in the base. This is a more sophisticated and elegant fragrance overall. It feels better suited for an autumn evening.
6. Chloe Nomade Nuit D’Egypte EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Amber Floral |
| Notes | Top: Myrrh, Cinnamon, and Ginger Middle: Orange Blossom, Kyphi, and Broom Base: Vanilla, Opoponax and Cypriol Oil, or Nagarmotha |
| Release year | 2024 |
| Perfumer | Juliette Karagueuzoglou |
Nomade Nuit d’Égypte is a tribute to the Egyptian heritage of Chloé’s founder, Gaby Aghion. This fragrance is a reimagining of Kyphi, the world’s first recorded incense. I believe this fragrance is a unique gem within the Nomade collection. It stands out because it touches on mystical, balsamic territories. It also projects beautifully. That distinctive character and impressive performance are exactly why I love it so much.
7. Chloe Nomade Lumiere D’Egypte EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Chloé |
| Best for | Women |
| Fragrance Family | Floral |
| Notes | Top: Blue Lotus Middle: Jasmine, Pink Pepper, and Elemi Base: Sandalwood, Myrrh, Kyphi, and Cinnamon |
| Release year | 2025 |
| Perfumer | Cécile Matton |
The latest chapter in the collection is Nomade Lumière d’Égypte. This fragrance continues the brand’s exploration of Egyptian heritage, this time focusing on the blue lotus. This fragrance is beautiful, though it feels like a simpler version of Nomade Nuit d’Égypte. Lumière is a cleaner, white floral composition more appropriate for everyday wear.
