Coach was founded in 1941 in a small Manhattan loft by a group of artisans crafting leather wallets. The brand’s identity was revolutionized when Miles and Lillian Cahn joined the company in the 1940s and eventually took ownership in 1961. Miles was inspired by the supple, durable leather of baseball gloves, which led to the creation of Coach’s signature glove-tanned leather.
While Coach released its earliest fragrances, such as Coach Signature, in 2007 under a previous licensing agreement, those early lines were eventually discontinued. The brand completely rebooted its fragrance portfolio in 2016 with the launch of a new flagship scent, simply named Coach Eau de Parfum.

Coach Floral Eau de Parfum is inspired by the brand’s signature leather tea roses. It is a fun, slightly sweet scent featuring a burst of pineapple that adds a tropical feel to the opening. This brightness lends a delicate sweetness that blends beautifully with the tea rose florals at its heart, before settling into warmer woody and musky base notes. This uplifting fragrance is tailor-made for someone who is optimistic and bright.
2. Coach Dreams Sunset EDP

| Fragrance Family | Amber Floral |
| Notes | Top: Pear Ice Cream and Bergamot Middle: Jasmine Sambac and Magnolia Base: Vanilla and Tonka Bean |
| Release year | 2021 |
| Perfumer | Nathalie Lorson |
Dreams Sunset is a lovely, inoffensive, sweet, and fresh scent with hints of florals peeking through. The pear ice cream note at the opening is so delicious that I only wish it lasted longer. However, the initial deliciousness transitions beautifully as the fragrance dries down into a sweet vanilla and tonka bean base. Meanwhile, the white florals at the heart are creamy and dreamy. It feels like watching the sunset after a long summer day.
3. Coach Coach EDT

| Notes | Top: Water Lily, Violet, Guava, and Mandarin Orange Middle: Jasmine, Tuberose, African Orange Flower, and Mimosa Base: Amber and Virginia Cedar |
| Release year | 2010 |
| Perfumer | In-house Perfumer |
Coach is a lovely, classic eau de toilette. This floral scent is wonderfully light and easy to wear, yet it feels more substantial than your average EDT. That depth comes from its rich heart, which is dominated by heady notes of jasmine, tuberose, and African orange flower. It also features a powdery dry-down, balanced by amber and Virginia cedar, which lends a clean, sophisticated quality to the overall aroma. It reminds me of the dewiness of a blooming spring morning.
4. Coach Coach EDT

Coach for Men Eau de Toilette is marketed as the fragrance that embodies the cool, authentic American guy. But marketing aside, is the fragrance actually good? Yes, I personally quite like it, especially the pear note at the opening, which lends a nice, brief sweetness. The dry-down eventually resembles any decent, generic men’s cologne, so if you are looking for a reliable everyday fragrance that smells clean and professional for office wear, Coach is a brilliant option.
5. Coach Open Road EDT

| Brand | Coach |
| Best for | Men |

| Notes | Top: Lemon and Red Apple Middle: Sichuan Pepper, Clary Sage, and Lavender Base: Vetiver, Cedar, and Patchouli |

| Perfumer | Jean-Christophe Hérault |
Last but not least, we have Open Road Eau de Toilette. This is a perfectly balanced, spicy freshie. My only real issue is that the fragrance isn’t particularly long-lasting. Otherwise, I love how each note sort of plays with the next, creating a fun, pleasant harmony. It’s a casual scent for a casual guy who enjoys road trips and hangouts.
