The story of the first Jo Malone Fragrance is interesting. It didn’t come out of a fancy lab, nor was it created by highly paid perfume experts in the industry. It was created by Jo Malone herself while working as a facialist in London. Malone had developed a scented lotion and body oil, which she gifted to her most loyal clients. This fragrance was developed to become Nutmeg & Ginger, the first Jo Malone cologne.
Jo Malone, founded in 1990, is now one of the most revered fragrance brands. It offers various fragrances, including colognes, candles, hair mists, aroma diffusers, and body care products. The brand has developed a minimal and elegant visual identity that is recognizable anywhere. All of their colognes are unisex, and their fragrance range consists of floral, fruity, sweet, woody, citrus, and spicy scents.
I have some favorites from this brand that are even in my top 5, while some are not for me, but they might be for you. This list includes both.

Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone is the fragrance that I was talking about earlier when I said some of this brand’s fragrances would make it in my top 5. If I could only choose one Jo Malone product, it would be this one.
I still remember the first time I smelt this. I fell in love instantly, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. I still feel the same way every time I whiff this fragrance. It transported me to a little cottage by the sea. I imagined myself burning sage in there and enjoying the fresh sea air as it gently flows from the window. If you’re looking for a clean perfume with character, this is the one for you. I even suggested this as a beach perfume in summer.

Like most Jo Malone fragrances, Tuberose Angelica cologne by Jo Malone has a simple composition but packs quite a punch. This is for lovers of intense floral fragrances that leave a strong impression.
The main event is the Tuberose note, which is found in the heart of this fragrance. It is a rose reminiscent of jasmines and gardenia but with a spicy, warmer aroma and a more intriguing dimension. I recommend this long-lasting fragrance for the colder months of the year.

Wild Bluebell cologne by Jo Malone is a softer floral than Tuberose Angelica. Its main accords consist of musky, powdery florals and green notes. It is a joyous fragrance that is reminiscent of spring.
Every Jo Malone fragrance brings to mind a certain image. Wild Blue Bell makes me think of a hyacinth, nicknamed the blue bell, with dewdrops on its stem. It is early in the morning, and the sun has just begun to shine over the hills where this flower resides. This image brings me peace.

Oud and Bergamot by Jo Malone is a luxurious fragrance. There is an exceptional warmth and elegance to this perfume.
The first thing you smell when you spray this is bergamot, and while bergamot is a citrus note, the scent it gives off is sweet, fresh, and slightly fruity. The cedarwood and oud in the heart and base (respectively) give this fragrance a luxurious, rich depth.

English Pear and Freesia cologne by Jo Malone is a well-balanced scent. It is fruity with a strong, bold, and earthy character. This fragrance would be to the liking of most and is suitable for wear anytime, anywhere.
The opening is fresh, juicy, fruity with melon and pear, the heart floral and romantic with freesia and rose, and the base comforting, sensual, and warm with musk, patchouli, rhubarb, and amber. This is a great nominee if you’re looking for a new signature perfume.

Last but definitely not least is Jo Malone’s Myrrh and Tonka Cologne. This gourmand fragrance is calming and delicious. It is ideal for colder days when you need a little extra comfort to fight the winter blues.
The opening note of lavender gives this fragrance its calming and relaxing nature, for lavender is known to be a natural anti-anxiety aroma. The myrrh in the heart has a balsamic and slightly smoky odor. The base, with notes of tonka beans, vanilla, and almond, gives this scent its gourmand character.
