Based in Paris, Ane Ayo’s unique approach to perfumery is shaped by her diverse background. Having spent her formative years in Bilbao, Spain, followed by studies in the United Kingdom, and now working in France, she gathers inspiration from a wide array of European cultural influences.
From Pharmacy to Fragrance
Ane began her academic career studying pharmacy. However, a pivotal moment arrived when she read an article about master perfumer Alberto Morillas, sparking a new direction. She then pursued an MBA focused on perfume and fashion management, and honed her skills at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. Ane views perfumery as a collaborative art, a means of expressing her personal style and expanding her understanding of the world.

Ayo is celebrated for creating fragrances that are both daring and contemporary, often introducing unexpected elements to deliver unique scents. Her signature style is a careful balance of creative vision and technical expertise, resulting in scents that are both cutting-edge and appealing.
Inspired by Travel, Art, and Culture
Ane finds inspiration in her travels, with Japan’s culture, cuisine, and art holding a particular fascination. The island of Menorca is also a cherished source of inspiration. Beyond travel, she is passionate about painting, fashion, dance, fabrics, and colors, often dedicating her free time to creating perfumes that reflect these themes. Her “The Flower Shop” collection exemplifies this, blending art, design, and fragrance with ingredients like Lavender Memory and Tuberose Saffron.
