A honey note in fragrances is very fascinating. The honey on its own has a warm and comforting scent, but it can vary depending on the notes it’s added to. With florals and fruits, it can be balanced out and softened. But with warm and smoky notes like oud and leather, it can be intensified. This makes it a very versatile and fun note to work with. That being said, it is mainly found in winter and fall fragrances due to its warm nature.

Byredo’s Casablanca Lily is a fragrance made to be worn all year round. With the honey note at the base, it will take a while for it to appear, but it does last for a while when it does.
This unisex beauty is sweet, floral, and slightly lactonic. However, I don’t quite understand why it has “lily” in the name, considering that the most prominent flower scent is the tuberose. If you’re expecting a lily scent, then you’ll be disappointed. Other than that, this is a gorgeous, versatile scent.
