Like many girls from my generation, I grew up with a loathing for the colour pink. Pink was too stereotypically girlish, and everything that fell into that category was ridiculed and not taken seriously, so why would I or any other girl want to be associated with that?
Well, thankfully, I grew out of that toxic mentality. My relationship with pink and all things girlish healed, and pink slowly but surely became one of my favorite colors. The Elixir version of Burberry Her is my favourite out of the line. Sure, part of it is sentimental because it was gifted to me on my birthday. But it also happens to be a rich, decadent, absolutely delicious fragrance that reminds me of a cold strawberry milkshake.
Now let’s take a look at the bottle. A beautifully opaque, simple pink bottle. I like the shape of the bottle as it’s very convenient to carry around with you wherever you go, especially if you own the smaller bottle. The shade of pink used here was also used for the latest Her flanker, but I’m not complaining, as it is a lovely shade of pink.

Chance by Chanel was my first “grown-up perfume.” It wasn’t the Eau Tendre flanker, though, but that bottle isn’t pink, so here we are. That being said, the Eau Tendre might actually be the better flanker as it is more intense.
The Chance bottle is iconic by this point. Fate and seizing opportunity are symbolised by its circular shape, representing eternity and chance. The Eau Tendre flanker comes in a gorgous subtle pink, highlighting the fragrance’s wearability. This could be the perfect scent for everyday and office wear.

I don’t think there’s anything I can say about La Vie Est Belle that hasn’t already been said. This Lancome fragrance has managed to gain so much popularity from the moment that it came out, so much so that it feels like it has always been there. Today, almost any fragrance lover could detect this scent even by a small whiff.
The iconic La Vie Est Belle perfume bottle, known as the Crystal Smile, was originally designed by Georges Delhomme in 1949, representing Lancôme’s vision of femininity, with its curved smile emerging from the glass and its sleek silhouette symbolising joy and confidence.

I actually don’t have a personal story with Paradoxe; I just genuinely think that it is a good, everyday, complement-getting fragrance. The intense version appeals to me because, as a fragrance with a higher concentration of perfume, it gives you the extra depth and richness that other flankers lack.
The Prada Paradoxe perfume bottle is designed as a disruptive, minimalist, and radical reinterpretation of the iconic Prada triangle logo. All Paradoxe bottles come in a different shade of pink. This is to contrast the black and cap and the black Parada logo. The intense version naturally comes in a slightly darker shade of pink to signify, well, its intensity.

Gorgeous Gardenia isn’t my favourite in the Flora line. That honour goes to Gorgeous Magnolia. That isn’t to say I don’t like Gorgous Gardenia, and if you prefer the scent of gardenias as a flower, you’d probably enjoy this more than the others in the line.
The Flora bottles are colourful, fun, and easy to carry. Gorgeous Gardenia is the pink bottle out of the bunch, and like other scents in this line, the bottle features a beautiful floral pattern that is associated with the Flora line.

The final fragrance on this list is a relic from the past. This fragrance changed my brain chemistry and defined who I wanted to be as a person as a tween. Fantasy by Britney Spears (who I was a huge fan of) was my introduction to groumand fragrances and remains dear to me to this day.
The bottle was what little me believed to be the epitome of chic. It is round, studded (of course), and very pink. This was before I turned against girlhood and all things pop and pink. Therefore, I allowed myself to indulge in an uber-pink sweet scent by the pop princess of our day.
