2025 has been an interesting year in the world of perfumery. We saw more gourmands than ever (just when we thought the trend was dying out), and the surprising, not so surprising, re-emergence of musk fragrances.
This past year has also been the year of the flankers. Almost every designer brand released a flanker of their most popular fragrances. Chanel Bleu de Chanel, Prada Paradox, YSL Libre, and Dolce & Gabbana The One are a few examples.
Some of these new fragrances did really well, but they didn’t manage to surpass everyone’s favourites. Some fragrances were, and managed to remain, best-sellers. Let’s take a look at these fragrances that sold the most in 2025.
For Her:

Let’s be honest, no one is surprised to see this fragrance here. After, we did state earlier this year that it’s the only sexy perfume you’ll ever need, and we (well, at least I) stand by that statement. Versace Crystal Noir is an absolutely irresistible scent.
Crystal Noir is a fragrance of depth, sensuality, and glamour. It will leave you smelling incredible, with sweet undertones, without giving off any cheap-candy aroma. It makes a perfect signature scent for a mature, confident woman.

Unlike the first best-seller for women here, Tres Jour is a gorgeous, light floral scent. The white flowers note is the most prominent, with underlying woody and musky notes. But you can also smell the citrusy and tea notes. The vanilla at the base lends this perfume a slight hint of sweetness.
I can absolutely see why this would be a best-seller. It is affordable, wearable, and versatile. I just wish it lasted longer, but the low price point makes up for where this fragrance lacks in longevity. I would recommend this for summer and spring as the ideal daytime fragrance.

A recurring fragrance from last year’s best-sellers still tops the charts. Montblanc Explorer for him. This fragrance came out in 2019 with a message to explorers, telling them a story of adventure, quests for excellence, and challenging conventions.
Messaging aside, this is a darn reliable woody-aromatic scent for it to still be topping the charts after years since its initial release. If you’re looking for a decent deal on a versatile fragrance, you might want to give Explorer a try.

If you’re looking to smell fresh, clean, and crisp this summer, Cool Water is for you. This aromatic aquatic scent is the breath of fresh air you might want to add to your fragrance collection.
While it’s not the best in terms of longevity, it is another scent on this list that makes up for it with an affordable price point. Perfect for the office and everyday wear, I see why this is a best-seller.

Moving on to unisex fragrances, we see a recurring theme with the best sellers of 2025. Clean, crisp, fresh, reliable. While it’s true, we had a brat summer, the clean aesthetic really didn’t go anywhere, now did it?!
Calvin Klein One is another excellent everyday fragrance. Better yet, it’s unisex. This fragrance is very citrusy with hints of green and woody accords. As it dries down, it gets slightly powdery and musky. Affordable, reliable, and suitable for most occasions.

Last but not least, Marj, by Ahmed al Maghribi, is here to break the mould. Unlike most of the fragrances on this list, Marj is bold and loud. This is a fragrance that is not apologetic in any shape or form.
Marj, as it is typical for a fragrance by Ahmel al Maghribi, is a composition of many notes, making it a complex blend that might not be to everyone’s liking. But I personally don’t mind it. I will say, though, if you’re planning on purchasing this best-seller, try it at a perfume shop first.
