Angels’ Share is one of Kilian’s most coveted fragrances. One that many other brands have attempted and continue to attempt to replicate, but just can’t quite get it right. Some got close, but not quite.
While the most popular version of Angels’ Share is the original that was released in 2020, Kilian experimented with slightly different variations of this perfume, resulting in four additional versions. The latest version is scheduled for release in early autumn 2025.

Starting with the original, a wonderful scent that’s blended perfectly and hits all the right spots. It starts off with tart, almost alcoholic notes and a super sweet quality, reminiscent of stewed apples, with an amazing boozy quality. This is followed by creamy vanilla and cinnamon, with a smooth sandalwood finish.
The first Angels’ Share is a coveted scent for a reason; it is a truly exceptional fragrance. The warm notes are best worn during the cooler months of the year, especially at night. The first “variant” of Angel’s Share was this collaboration with French Montana. If you look closely at the notes, you can see that the only difference is that the hedione in the heart is replaced with hazelnut, and the candied almond in the base is gone.
But what does this really mean? Hedione has a light, fresh, floral scent reminiscent of jasmine, with citrus and green nuances, while hazelnuts are warm, nutty, and slightly sweet. The sweetness and nuttiness of the candied almond are replaced with those of the hazelnut, resulting in the same fragrance profile. This version is pretty much identical to the original, so you might as well just purchase that one if you’re considering adding Angels’ Share to your collection.

The third variation is another amber vanilla, but is this anniversary edition any different from the first two? Well, the composition is pretty similar to the French Montana collaboration except there is no added hazelnut nor prolaine in the heart.
What makes this version stand out is the bottle. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Kilian launched an exclusive limited-edition holiday design inspired by the Eiffel Tower, a tribute to the brand’s French heritage. The 15th Anniversary Edition features the fragrance Angels’ Share in a decorated perfume bottle. Scent-wise, it’s not different, but I can see any fragrance collector wanting to add this to their private collection.

Kilian really switched things up by adding this gourmand to their Angels’ Share collection. Not only is Paradis from a different fragrance family, but it’s also a different concentration (an extrait de parfum, not an EDP).
This is such a sweet, boozy, woody fragrance. The fragrance opens with a creamy blast of raspberry, rose, and cognac. You would immediately pick up on the sandalwood note, which makes the entire scent profile cleaner, creamier, and sexier. Minutes later, the oak note shows up, making the woody tone the most prominent in the scent. It is not as sweet as I hoped it would be, but it is surely woody.

We’ve finally reached the latest scent from this collection, which will be released later this year (2025), Angels’ Share On The Rocks. It’s a Fizzy aldehydic lemon cocktail with some sweetness and oak wood in the background. It has the same DNA as the original, but it’s fresh!
This, unlike the other version of Angels’ Share, seems to be a daytime, everyday wear kind of scent. The On The Rocks version is like tossing a generous handful of ice into a glass of cognac (GASP), hence the name. However, this version truly stands out in this collection, as it replaces the dense, warming, liqueur-like richness with coolness and lightness.
