Paradigme is said to be Prada’s biggest men’s fragrance launch, and they have chosen no other than Tom Holland to be the face of this campaign. Tom Holland is famously known as Zendaya’s fiancé and Spider-Man; he has also collaborated with Prada over the years, as they have dressed him for red-carpet events.
Yann Andrea, global president of Prada Beauty and Miu Miu Beauty, described Holland as an obvious pick as global Prada Beauty ambassador, “because we were looking for an ambassador who can best embody this new take on masculinity.”
Paradigme was created to represent a healthier take on masculinity that is nuanced and complex. This has been an issue that many young men struggle with in today’s day and age, mostly due to the content they’re being exposed to online. Holland himself is what many view as a representation of healthy masculinity and goes against the grain of what most young men are encouraged to be.
Now let’s take a look at the fragrance itself. What makes it truly stand out, and how nuanced it really is.

Paradigme is a men’s fragrance that balances between warm and cool notes, between femininity and masculinity, and between what is strong and what is soft.
This amber woody fragrance opens with Calabrian bergamot. The scent of bergamot is often described as halfway between lemon and orange. It is a delightful blend of sweet, citrusy, and spicy notes, with a hint of floral finish. The heart consists of bourbon geranium, which has a complex, floral scent. It’s often described as a blend of rose and geranium notes, with a sweet, herbaceous, and slightly citrusy aroma. As for the base, it consists of Peru balsam and musk. Peru balsam isn’t traditionally used in masculine scents. It has a rich, warm, sweet, and balsamic scent, often described as having vanilla-like notes with hints of smoke and spice.
Another thing that makes this scent different is that the first thing you catch a whiff of is the base notes, and not the top notes.
“You can smell them (the base notes) from the first sniff, so this was really a new way of crafting a fragrance,” Andrea said.
To top that all off, Prada and Holland are committing to sustainability with this project. Paradigme’s bottle is refillable, with fifteen percent of the flacon made of recycled glass, and the fragrance itself contains numerous biosourced ingredients.
So, what do you say? Will you be heading to V Perfumes, your fragrance destination, as soon as this fragrance is released? I know I will.
