As Britney Spears famously sang, “They want more? Well, I’ll give them more.” While she might have been talking about fragrances, it is sort of what we specialize in here, so that’s what we’re going to be giving you more of. Literally.
Fragrances with higher concentration contain a higher percentage of pure perfume oil. These are usually labeled as Parfum, Extrait de Parfum, or sometimes Elixir, even. Eau de Parfums also have a higher concentration than Eau de Toilette, but we’re not including them in this list because I have decided we’re going beast mode. So, let’s get into it.
For Her:
1. Armani My Way Le Parfum

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Armani |
Best for | Women |
Fragrance Family | Floral Woody Musk |
Notes | Top: Orange Blossom, Bitter Orange, and Calabrian Bergamot Middle: Iris Pallida, Indian Tuberose, and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) Base: White Musk, Bourbon Vanilla, and Cedar |
Release year | 2023 |
Projection | Low – Moderate |
Perfumer | Armani |
The original My Way by Aramani is a gorgeous fragrance on its own; now imagine if it were more potent and longer-lasting. That is what you get with the Parfum version.
My Way Parfum combines two flowers that are so different in a beautiful way. Tuberose and iris are well-blended here, giving off a gorgeous scent. The opening is sparkly and citrusy, and the dry down is musky and creamy. It is a versatile scent that makes a lovely signature scent.
2. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Le Parfum

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Yves Saint Laurent |
Best for | Women |
Fragrance Family | Amber Floral |
Notes | Top: Ginger, Saffron, Mandarin Orange, and Bergamot Middle: Orange Blossom and Lavender Base: Bourbon Vanilla, Honey, Tonka Bean, and Vetiver |
Release year | 2022 |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm |
I prefer the intense and le parfum version of Libre to both the EDP and EDT (which are great, by the way; it’s just a personal preference). To be frank, my favorite Libre version overall is Flowers & Flames, but Le Parfum would be a close second.
Libra Le Parfum makes an excellent choice for a first date night. It is intriguing and powerful. The instant spray is so strong, and the scent becomes more subtle and mysterious as time passes. It’s quite spicy at first, with a noticeable citrus note. After a few moments, as this explosion calms down, it becomes more of a honey infused with saffron and ginger.
For him:
1. Amouage Interlude 53 EDP

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Amouage |
Best for | Men |
Fragrance Family | Amber Woody |
Notes | Top: Oregano, Pimento, and Bergamot Middle: Incense, Amber, Opoponax, and Labdanum Base: Smoke, Agarwood (Oud), Leather, Patchouli, and Sandalwood |
Release year | 2020 |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Pierre Negrin |
Amouage has been ahead of the game when it comes to highly concentrated fragrances. It is a mesmerizing, enigmatic, and downright irresistible men’s perfume.
Perfected with 53% concentration, this version of interlude performs exceptionally well in terms of longevity and sillage. Projection is about arm’s length as it is a heavier scent that sits close to the skin (as is the case with most parfums). I’d recommend saving this for special occasions and when you want to wear something more formal.
2. Louis Breton L’Homme Parfum

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Louis Breton |
Best for | Men |
Fragrance Family | Chypre Fruity |
Notes | Top: Bergamot, Black Currant, Apple, Lemon, and Pink Pepper Middle: Pineapple, Patchouli, and Moroccan Jasmine Base: Birch, Musk, oak moss, Ambroxan, and Cedarwood |
Release year | 2018 |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Louis Breton |
L’homme by Louis Breton is only available in a Parfum concentration, because why create a flanker when the original is so good? (If they come out with a flanker iswtg)…
This chypre fruity perfume is versatile, classy, and mature. It’s an affordable scent with excellent performance. It is a crowd pleaser and a best-seller for a reason. It is an overall excellent perfume that would make an excellent addition to your collection.
Unisex:
1. Swiss Arabian Spirit Of Valencia Extrait De Parfum

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Swiss Arabian |
Best for | Unisex |
Fragrance Family | Floral Fruity |
Notes | Top: Apple, Lemon, and Bergamot Middle: Jasmine, Rose, Gardenia, and Peony Base: Amber, Sandalwood, and Musk |
Release year | 2023 |
Projection | Low – Medium |
Perfumer | Hamid Merati-Kashani |
Moving on to unisex perfumes. This Extrait de Parfum is one of my favourites by Swiss Arabian. Spirit of Valencia is not for the weak of heart.
Spirit of Valencia was inspired by the timeless beauty of the city of Valencia, a bouquet of sweet florals with a grounding, creamy, ambery base. It is sweet leaning with a hint of citrus. Another versatile fragrance that can be worn all year round.
2. Nishane Tero Extrait De Parfum

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Nishane |
Best for | Unisex |
Fragrance Family | Woody Aromatic |
Notes | Top: Caramel, Sichuan Pepper, Black Pepper, and Salt Middle: Patchouli and Cinnamon Base: Amber, Oak, and Vetiver |
Release year | 2022 |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Carlos Benaïm |
The last scent on this list is what I would call the start of the show. The crowd pleaser, the compliment getter, and one of the best perfumes I’ve ever come across.
Tero by Nishane is truly unique. It is what I would reach for when I want something sweet and gourmand, but not a typical vanilla gourmand. Tero smells like an extra spicy salted caramel autumn cake. To add to that, it lasts all day. I mean, what’s not to like here?
