I usually avoid taking the bus at all costs, especially during rush hours. But I had to today, and something caught my attention. As I was on the bus listening to music, minding my own business, a lady sat beside me. She didn’t say anything. She didn’t even look at me but still managed to invade my personal space and annoy me with her scent.
Don’t get me wrong, she didn’t smell bad. On the contrary, she had worn what would have been a lovely perfume on any other occasion, but not for the bus. I actually don’t think it would be a fragrance appropriate for any place where you would be sitting so close to people in a closed space.
What I’m trying to say here is that the perfume she was wearing was LOUD. It projected so strongly, and the notes were anything but subtle. It smelt as though she had bathed in the perfume’s oil😄.
