I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast. If you’re wondering what brought us here.
Peanut butter has a very distinct scent. It is nutty, roasted, and savory. It could lean slightly sweet or slightly salty, depending on the exact ingredients of the butter and what was added to the peanuts. The reason peanut butter has a strong smell is that the peanuts are usually roasted before being blended with the other ingredients to create the butter. This leads to the release of aromas from the nuts, making the butter extra poignant after blending.
Let’s take a look at the following fragrances that carry a peanut butter note and see how it translates to scent. Interestingly enough, the three fragrances mentioned below were launched recently, maybe my prediction about savory gourmands being the next trend might not be very far off.

This fragrance carries many notes that I love. Peach, hazelnut, vanilla, and did I mention peach?! Peya by Laboya Paris could easily pass for a snack, given all its edible notes. This fragrance is a gourmand, nutty, and sweet fragrance with fruity and woody undertones.
Peya is a very wearable and versatile fragrance. It isn’t an overly sweet gourmand; in fact, it is slightly savory. So, if you’re tired of the hella sweet scents on the market, give this a try.
2. Briix Fragrances Puff Delight

Vanilla is the first thing you smell when trying Puff Delight, a truly delightful scent. This fragrance, with a peanut butter note, is sweeter than the first option. It is also a slightly lactonic fragrance, which is a quality that I enjoy in perfumes.
Puff Delight is a savory salted vanilla caramel pastry scent. It’s also quite creamy and soft. If you’re looking for a lactonic gourmand with some peanut butter drizzled there, this is one to consider. Especially since this fragrance is long-lasting, which is always a plus.
3. The House of Oud L’Explicite

I kept this for last because it is my least favorite. While it is the closest to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a note of bread, I simply do not enjoy the scent of bananas whatsoever.
L’Explicite is a very polarizing scent. Some people love it, while others absolutely hate it. There for I would recommend that you get a sample first to test out how you like and how it reacts to your skin before committing to buying a bottle. My opinion is obviously not one of love, but again, it’s only because of that banana note in the heart that I can’t ignore.
