From Paris to the World
Bruno Jovanovic fondly recalls his mother’s perfume, which helped keep her memory alive. This early passion led him to frequently visit perfumeries around his hometown in France, where he would get lost in the various fragrance displays across Paris.
After earning a degree in Physics and Chemistry at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Bruno enrolled in ISIPCA, the prestigious French perfumery school, where he graduated with top honours. He then moved to New York and spent over 20 years working between New York and Paris for a leading fragrance house, creating some of the world’s most celebrated fragrances. Before joining DSM-Firmenich, he worked at IFF from 2001 to 2021.

Bruno Jovanovic is deeply creative and artistic in his approach, drawing inspiration from artists and philosophers alike. He deconstructs and simplifies his ideas, searching for the essential elements, philosophising the process of fragrance creation.
Borrowing his motto from Kant, he believes that beauty is universal and has no concept. Bruno aims for a simple and clear message in his perfumes, striving for immediate identification. He limits the number of raw materials he uses, preferring fewer bases to create fragrances that embody art.
