Following the legendary Olivier Cresp, we’re excited to introduce this week’s perfumer, Anne Flipo. A master perfumer known for her harmonious creations, Flipo has crafted best-selling fragrances for some of the world’s most prestigious designer brands.
From the North to Global Acclaim
Unlike Cresp’s upbringing in Grasse, the traditional heart of perfumery, Anne Flipo is from the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France. While not steeped in perfume history, her passion and hard work led her to ISIPCA, a fragrance and cosmetics school in Versailles. This marked the beginning of her journey to becoming one of the industry’s most respected perfumers.
Anne Flipo joined IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances) in 2004, where she has been creating fragrances.
Adding Harmony to Scent
What makes Anne Flipo’s fragrances stand out is her ability to balance contrasting notes, creating fragrances that are both refined and accessible. Her style often features a harmonious blend of floral, woody, and musky notes, giving scents that are elegant and somewhat airy, but with a heavy base, which adds to their longevity.

Paco Rabanne’s Lady Million: A glamorous and opulent fragrance with notes of raspberry, orange blossom, and patchouli.
