There are many new releases that caught my attention this year’s fall, but the three I will be discussing in this article are the ones that intrigued me the most.
Two of them are leather fragrances, a fragrance family that I have always appreciated. The third is an amber, woody scent, which is very fall- and winter-appropriate.

The first new release is Giorgio Armani Cuir Nu, a unisex leather fragrance. It was introduced as part of the 1001 Nuits collection and inspired by Venetian tanneries.
Cuir Nu is looking like it’s built up to be a fall classic. I mean, look at those warm and spicy notes. The leather and coffee notes provide a rich warmth, while the cardamom adds a touch of spice that complements the autumnal atmosphere. The amber and tonka bean base adds a sweet element that makes it perfect for the season. This fragrance is the perfect example of a seasonal product launch.

Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Passion Oud is a unisex amber woody fragrance. The scent features top notes of passionfruit, hookah, and tobacco leaf, followed by middle notes of saffron and rose. The base consists of labdanum and oud.
I have covered the topic of apple hookah accords in fragrances before, but I don’t believe the hookah note has any particular scent; but is instead present to give the fragrance a smoky aroma. This effect is enhanced by the combination of tobacco leaf and oud.
