The first Eclaire came out in 2024 (peak gourmand era) and was a big hit. It was often compared to a very popular milk scent at the time, Bianco Latte. It was said to deliver the same creamy sweetness at a fraction of the price. While the trend of gourmands is slowly fading, it still has its market. Gourmand lovers will remain gourmand lovers after all, regardless of the trend, even those who only became part of this group after the trend.
Today, Eclaire has two sisters, Eclaire Pistache and Eclaire Banoffi. While these two didn’t become nearly as popular as the original, they are still well-liked by some, but they are also very disliked by others. Let’s take a look at them and see how they compare.
1. Lattafa Eclaire EDP

Lattafa’s original Eclaire is generally well-liked. Anyone who smells it on you will immediately say you smell delicious. The combination of milk and honey adds a classicgourmand aroma to the perfume, making it irresistible to sweet scent lovers. And of course, the vanilla amplifies this sweetness. I personally love this fragrance, but my light-floral-loving coworker can’t stand it. I would say to test it and see if this level of sweetness is one you can handle first. But if you know what you like and know its gourmands, purchase it without any hesitation.
2. Lattafa Eclaire Pistache EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Lattafa |
| Best for | Unisex |
| Fragrance Family | Amber Vanilla |
| Notes | Top: Pistachio Spread Cream, and Pistachio Middle: Cacao, Whipped Cream, and Coconut Base: Vanilla, Milk, and Musk |
| Release year | 2025 |
| Perfumer | Dalia Izem |
Eclaire Pistachio has a unique profile that resembles a rich pistachio butter spread or a pistachio macaron. I was worried it would be an imitation of a Dubai chocolate, but thankfully it’s not. I still prefer the original, but this is a better choice if you prefer a pistachio aroma in your fragrance.
3. Lattafa Eclaire Banoffi EDP

| Highlights | Details |
|---|---|
| Brand | Lattafa |
| Best for | Unisex |
| Fragrance Family | Floral Fruity Gourmand |
| Notes | Top: Banana and Dulce de leche Middle: Vanilla and Whipped Cream Base: Praline, Biscuit, and Musk |
| Release year | 2025 |
| Perfumer | Dalia Izem, Gaël Montero and Fanny Bal |
I listed Eclaire Banoffi because it is my least favourite. Banoffi is inspired by the banoffee pie, a classic British dessert, with the name being a portmanteau of banana and toffee. It consists of a biscuit base, thick caramel/toffee filling, sliced bananas, and whipped cream, often topped with grated chocolate. Sounds wonderful, except that bananas are my mortal enemies. That being said, if you like the smell of bananas, this makes a fun everyday fall/winter scent.
