It is Cancer season, and emotions are running deep. There’s a reason summer love is a thing: as we enter cancer season at the beginning of summer, our hearts grow softer with the warmth of the weather, and we start looking for someone to play house with. You both know it’s temporary, but you live this love to the fullest, just like you would the summer season.
There is no denying that Cancer is a love bomber by nature; they can’t help it. They feel all those feelings, and they want to throw them at you. Now that it is their season, those feelings tend to be flooding from all of us and floating all around us.
If you’re being affected by this overflow of emotions and find yourself looking for your summer fling, that’s alright, you do you! If you’re a Cancer resisting and choosing to have a “hot girl summer” instead but don’t want to miss out on the love, you might just find it in the arms of one of these fragrances.

In its heart, Delina by Parfums de Marly is a soft perfume. It is a floral fragrance with a hint of sweetness to it that isn’t overpowering in the slightest. When I tried this perfume for the first time, the first thing that came to mind was “powdery,” which isn’t my cup of tea. But after trying it a few more times and giving it a fair chance to set in, I started noticing the other notes coming out more the longer I let it sit.
Maybe this is how this fragrance resembles cancer: At first glance, they appear to be one thing, but they turn out to be another thing entirely when you get to know them. That’s not to say you won’t love this perfume from the first whiff (you might), what I’m saying is if you don’t like it at first, try giving it a fair chance. This popular fresh fragrance just might be your new go-to summer perfume.

Mark Des Vince is truly an underrated brand. This is a UAE-based perfume brand, and I have fallen in love with many of its products. This love is extended to this unique perfume titled “Women.”
Women by Mark Des Vince is a perfume that falls right into the category of perfumes that fascinate me. It is a sweet, gourmand perfume that is borderline magical. If you enjoy sweet, fruity summer scents, I’m sure you’ll love this perfume. It is long-lasting and intoxicating, it is what I would describe as “love in a bottle.”
For Him:
1. Kenneth Cole Blue EDT

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Kenneth Cole |
Notes | Top Notes: Citruses Middle Notes: Sea Notes Base Notes: Cedar and Amber |
Release year | 2015 |
Longevity | 7 hours |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Mathieu Nardin |
Blue by Keneth Cole brings out the oceanic aspect of the summer. This fragrance will carry you on a wave of love and allure, with a sense of simplicity that matches really well with Cancer season.
The citrus and sea notes are quite captivating, but when your nose acknowledges the base of cedar and amber, it feels like cracking the shell of a Cancer and getting a peek of what’s on the inside. In other words, while seeming simple and light, this perfume has a surprisingly heavy note at the base that packs a punch.

For those of you who want to bathe in a luxury perfume this Cancer season, look no further than a Tom Ford fragrance. Specifically Noir Extreme Parfum by Tom Ford.
What makes this Noir edition stand out is that it’s a Parfum, which means it has a higher concentration of fragrance, giving it higher projection and longevity. It is usually a struggle to find a summer perfume with this kind of performance, but a Parfum like this one will stick on you all day as you enjoy the summer sun, just like a Cancer would.
Unisex:
1. Byredo Sundazed EDP

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Byredo |
Notes | Top Notes: Mandarin Orange and Californian Lemon Middle Notes: Neroli and Jasmine Sambac Base Notes: Cotton Candy and White Musk |
Release year | 2019 |
Longevity | 8 hours |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Jérôme Epinette |
If I were to describe Sundazed by Byredo, I would say: “It is a scent that was made in my dreams and brought to life.” Bydero is a niche perfume brand, meaning that they don’t make perfumes for mass consumption, they make blends of unique fragrances for a niche audience.
Keeping things on theme with hidden aspects not realized immediately, this perfume has a wonderfully sweet note of cotton candy hidden there. With opening notes of citrus, you would not expect such sweetness to emerge so beautifully from the base.
2. Holy Oud Orris Petales EDP

Highlights | Details |
---|---|
Brand | Holy Oud |
Notes | Top Notes: Pink pepper, Bergamot Italy, and Mandarin Italy Middle Notes: Ylang-Ylang, Orris, Jasmine Abs India, Orange Blossom Morocco, and Coconut Base Notes: Vanilla Bourbon, Patchouli Indonesia, and Musk |
Release year | 2023 |
Longevity | 8 hours |
Projection | Moderate |
Perfumer | Holy Oud |
Last but not least, we have a Holy Oud fragrance. Orris is a perfume with a fragrance profile dominated by sensuality, and that is due to the warmth of the patchouli, vanilla, and musk at the base.
The hidden note here that you get a whiff of and will surely wow you is the coconut in the heart. To me, this is what brings this fragrance together and gives it a balance between the warmth at the base and the freshness at the opening. The floral notes alongside the coconut give this fragrance its summer status and take it away a bit from its warm base.
